Race Etiquette
Please speak to each other and always ride safe. Recall it is a fun training race.
No passing on the inside curb unless the lane is fully clear. Be extremely careful about doing this in the final sprint of the race.
Use the race numbers assigned to you at the beginning of the season… it enables us to actually place people and track results.
VERY IMPORTANT: In an effort to make it easier for riders to move up from Learn-to-Race and start racing, the organization requests people planning to race the 7:20 start to not to warm-up in the early race. If we identify second, faster, more elite competitors in the early race bunch, chasing down break aways or in any way negatively impacting the race we will stop that race and restart it. The result will be a reduction in time assigned to the later race.
If team members want to teach fellow team member(s) race control team tactics please do so in the 7:20 race.
If an early racer regularly places well they we be asked and expected to move to the later race.
Early racers trying to make the move to the later race are asked not to interfere in the course of that race until you can at least sit-in for the whole duration of the 7:20 race.
Race Rules
Bib Numbers. Numbers must be worn during the race. If you are not wearing your number, you will not be placed in the results, no matter where you came in. The result will go to the next rider down wearing his/her bib number.
Following Race Etiquette and Dangerous Riding. If an official sees/hears that you have been ignoring race etiquette and/or riding dangerously, you will receive a warning and/or a one week suspension (to be served the following week). Multiple infractions of this nature may result in a season long suspension.
Following the directions of the race officials. If you are given instructions/directions/warnings by any race official, you are required to follow them. Ignoring these direction or arguing with an official may result in a suspension.
Location: Tahoe Blvd. and Buckhorn Gate in Mississauga.

Midweek’s Tuesday Elite Race Series enables you to learn, try and practice road bike racing in a competitive environment. The races are fast-paced and often have large field sizes and are not suitable for a first-time-in-a-pack racer. Therefore, we require all participants to have at least some racing experience. Slower riders or riders new to racing should attend the Monday night Learn-To-Race events instead.
*Membership includes the fee for one weekly event and the second event is $5/wk.
